Who are we? We're people
who love contra and other traditional community dancing, and the live string
band music that's driven the dance for centuries. We're an informal, grass-roots,
non-profit group which has been organizing dances in the Springfield area
since 1991. We sponsor dances twice a month, take trips to other dance
communities, and host SoleFest, an annual gathering for dancers
from throughout the Midwest. SoleFest 2013 – October 18th
– 20th, Springfield, MO. Details
coming soon. We are planning for a fantastic
dance weekend - be sure and plan to join us! We're all volunteers
(musicians and callers are paid). We welcome you to be
