Who are we? We're people
who love contra and other traditional community dancing, and the live string
band music that's driven the dance for centuries. We're an
informal, grass-roots, non-profit group which has been organizing
dances in the Springfield area since 1991. We sponsor dances twice a month,
take trips to other dance communities, and host SoleFest,
an annual gathering for dancers from throughout the Midwest. SoleFest 2012 – October 19th
– 21st, Springfield, MO – more details soon. We're all volunteers
(musicians and callers are paid). We welcome you to be
